023:Trevor McKendrick – The $2,100 Per Hour Side Gig

023-trevor-m-2itunes-podcastWelcome to another exciting episode of the Six Figure Side Gig Podcast! On today’s show we are discussing the business of “apps” and how they can generate a substantial side income.

Joining us today is Trevor McKendrick. Our host, Mark Costes speaks with Trevor about his creation of an app for sale in the Apple App Store. Trevor has gained ground with reviews, sales and revenue almost every month since creating a Spanish language bible based app for purchase on the Apple App Store. By researching the demand and products already being offered, Trevor was able to create a better version of the existing apps, which become wildly popular. His strategy of continuously improving on product has kept him relevant and in the game since its inception. With some hard work and time in the beginning, Trevor now works about one hour per week to maintain his more than $100,000 a year income from what was once just his side gig to pay rent.

All of that and more on today’s episode of The Six Figure Side Gig.

More About This Show:

Trevor knew that his job in an accounting office was not for him and quit with no likely job prospects. After taking a part time job he was inspired to look into apps when he spoke with a friend of the family who had created a significant income in the app space. With the goal of making enough money to pay his rent, Trevor ended up creating a very successful app. With no developing experience Trevor’s first app made $1,500 in his first month, $6,000 in the second and finally averages of about $100,000 per two year. Every year Trevor has expanded and improved on his original app and it has continued to prosper.
